My kitten ate a salted edamame bean. Should I be worried about him?

Hello. I would not be concerned as long as the beans did not contain a significant amount of chopped/powdered onion or garlic. Onions & garlic can cause some problems in the blood & symptoms may not show for several days. You might see loss of appetite, depression, increased heart & breathing rate, weakness, jaundice ( yellow tinge to the skin & mucous membranes & a red to brown urine can occur. If Casper ate a small amount, like around 1/2 teaspoon, he will be fine. If he ate a substantial amount, you might need to take him to your vet quickly to have him cleaned out. Watch her closely for signs of gastrointestinal upset such as vomiting inappetence, nausea, and/or vomiting. If any of these are observed, have her evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Otherwise, she may be fine. Best of luck!

It's not due to the salt or pepper, but maybe the egg was not fresh or just didn't seat well with her stomach. give it 24 hours, try to feed her boiled chicken and rice today, if by tomorrow she is still not eating you will need to take her to the vet in order to get it treated.

At worst, you may see some stomach upset (vomiting or diarrhea). Either can usually be managed at home with a short fast followed by a bland diet fed in small, frequent amounts until symptoms resolve. Transition slowly to the regular diet afterwards. Monitor for lethargy, persistent stomach upset, loss of appetite or abdominal pain. These are symptoms that should be addressed by your veterinarian.

The very small amount of onion powder in this shouldn't cause your cat any problems. He may get some stomach upset due to getting a decent amount of unfamiliar food, but no more than that. If he should become ill, refuse to eat, etc, get him in to see your vet right away.

This should be just fine. I expect that he may have a little intestinal upset from the grease in the chip, but he won't have gotten enough salt or onion to do him any harm.Keep an eye on him and if he does start feeling sick, get him in to see the vet right away. I've seen lots of cats steal chips and do just fine. Just try to keep them out of his reach.
