My kitten ate a salted egg and now won't eat. What should I do?

The lizard your kitten ate may have upset her tummy. She may vomit, drool excessively, and not want to eat for a few days while the lizard is still in her stomach. If this behavior continues for more than 48 hours I would recommend taking her in the see the vet. I am sorry to hear about Kiara! If she has just vomited one time and is otherwise acting normally- normal bowel movements, energy level, and appetite, I would just observe her closely. If she continues to vomit or becomes lethargic or inappetant then she should see the vet. I would probably avoid giving her eggs and stick to her kitten food especially given that she has an upset tummy after this incident.

This sounds like she is suffering from nausea, this could be due to the detergent. there is not much you can do other than waiting for it to pass, in the meantime you can try giving her various treats or foods she may like better than her own, such as tuna, sardines and boiled chicken.

What a cute kitten! Offering a meat flavored baby food may help entice him to eat. Warming his food may also allow him to smell it better which will help his appetite. Offer him small meals several times a day as his stomach is too small to eat a lot at one time at this age. Definitely have him rechecked by your veterinarian if he's not eating by tomorrow. Poor Hattie! It’s possible the vaccines are causing a reaction. It could also be related to any dewormers she may have received or it could be unrelated entirely. I recommend to play it safe and have her examined by the veterinarian today. If they suspect a vaccine reaction, they may adjust her protocol in the future to try to avoid this from happening. It's ok to give her boiled egg yolk but this is not going to solve the problem, if she is weak this is because she is ill, at her age it's very likely due to an infection, she needs to see a vet ASAP.

Most likely she will have several bouts of diarrhea and perhaps some vomiting. The butter will create a sort of slip-n-slide and cause loss of fluid so it is important to give her small amounts of Pedialyte (if diarrhea or vomiting do occur) to prevent dehydration. Also a bland diet of tuna and rice can be given to help her stomach settle. She should slowly improve over the next few days as the butter exits her system.
