My dog ate blueberry kefir with grape juice. Will he be okay?

While many grape jams / jellies are filled with primarily sugar and flavoring, some of these products do contain real grapes, which can be quite toxic to dogs if ingested. Stella will likely be fine, especially if she is acting completely normal. However, to establish a baseline, you can always take her to the veterinarian for an examination and have her blood tested to make sure her kidney values are not affected. The grape ingestion may or may not be related to the current symptoms. In a dog that size, 1 grape should theoretically not cause toxicosis, however, there are dogs that display symptoms after eating very few grapes, so it is not impossible. I recommend being cautious and taking Juno to your veterinarian. They will want to check bloodwork to make sure kidney function does not seem impaired. There are several other possible causes of diarrhea including food intolerance, parasites, viral or bacterial infection, and stress. When you go to your veterinarian, bring a sample of the stool so they can look for parasites. If everything looks okay, you could try a new food with a protein Juno hasn't had before, such as rabbit, venison, or fish. You may also consider adding fiber, which can be done by feeding a couple spoonfuls of canned pumpkin to the meals. Lastly, a probiotic or yogurt can add some healthy bacteria back to the system. The tiny bit will likely pose no serious risk of toxicity. Monitor for lethargy, vomiting, diarrhea, a change in thirst or a change in urination. Unfortunately, an exact toxic dose for grapes has not yet been determined.

There is likely very little grape juice in this lemonade. The overall fruit content is very low, and then the grape juice in this lemonade is also only a very small part of the fruit content. You will most likely not have to worry.

Your dog licking a very small amount of alcohol should not cause him any serious harm, although depending on the alcohol content it may cause him to become slightly drunk. This can cause wobbliness/ataxia, lethargy, vomiting. If you notice any of these signs, he should be seen by a veterinarian. Citrus fruits (especially if the juice was near 100% juice) can cause some GI upset in cats. I would recommend monitoring Tigger for any vomiting and/or diarrhea or lack of appetite. If he only got a small amount, and there was mostly water and sugar in the juice, then he will likely be just fine. If you do see mild symptoms of GI upset, then a vet visit is the next best step. He may need a short course of antibiotics and probiotics and a bland diet to get him back to normal.
