My cat drank cranberry mango juice. Will he get sick from it?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 7 years and 8 months old

I had a glass of cranberry mango juice and i think my cat drank some can it harm him? I think he's okay cause i gave him real water when i realized it was cranberry mango juice and he seemed alright.

Citrus fruits (especially if the juice was near 100% juice) can cause some GI upset in cats. I would recommend monitoring Tigger for any vomiting and/or diarrhea or lack of appetite. If he only got a small amount, and there was mostly water and sugar in the juice, then he will likely be just fine. If you do see mild symptoms of GI upset, then a vet visit is the next best step. He may need a short course of antibiotics and probiotics and a bland diet to get him back to normal. Thank you for submitting your question regarding Tigger. He needs to see his veterinarian. A week is a long time for him to be experiencing vomiting and diarrhea. He could have an intestinal infection, inflammation, a dietary problem or an internal disease such as pancreatitis or a thyroid disorder. In the meantime, continue to encourage him to drink water so that he does not become dehydrated. Offer very small amounts of food as little meals are less likey to upset the stomach. My cat drank diluted bleach. What emergency steps should I take?

Oh no, that's not good that Tigger may have drank diluted bleach! Enough bleach can cause vomiting, and mouth, throat, and stomach irritation. Rinse his mouth out with water right away, but do not induce vomiting. That can make the situation worse. Encourage plenty of water intake, soaking his food in tuna juice or gently warmed low sodium beef or chicken broth to get more fluids into him If you do see any abnormal symptoms such as vomiting, anorexia, lethargy, diarrhea, or irritation in his mouth, I would have him seen by a vet right away.

I recommend letting his veterinarian know of this change in behavior. He will likely need blood work and urine samples tested. Diabetes, kidney disease and thyroid disorders can all affect thirst. HI, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I think Noxie will be fine. I have never heard of a cat or dog experiencing a toxicity from grape juice. Though I guess it could be possible. But with the small amount likely in the Kefir and the only occasional times you give it I am sure that Noxie will be fine. Obviously I would stop giving her this form of Kefir and stick with the non-fruit flavors if you continue to give it. I hope this helps!

Hello, and thank you for your question. Aloe vera should not be toxic by itself. I am also assuming he did not lick very much if it was rubbed into your face previously. However, if you notice vomiting, diarrhea, reduced appetite, or lethargy within the next 24 hours, I would advise you to visit your veterinarian, in case there were other ingredients in the gel that caused stomach upset.
