My cat has white specks in poop after deworming. Is this normal?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Persian | Male | unneutered | 4 months and 30 days old | 5.27 lbs

I saw a little white speck on his feces today. What could it be? Is it something to worry about? I gave him a deworming pill 4 days ago.

White specs in the feces are usually not very concerning, but it's really difficult to say for sure without seeing it. It's reasonable to assume that this could be a dead worm that you are seeing. We often see dead worms in the feces after giving a deworming pill.

If Felix is otherwise acting normal and eating/drinking normal, then I would not be concerned. If he is having some other problems, then it would be best to have a vet doctor examine him.

I hope that helps and all is well with Felix.
