Best way to feed my cat wet and dry food: how much and when?

How much of wet and dry cat food should i feed to my cat?? Im going to feed my cat wet and dry cat food, both in a day. So when should i feed my cat wet food and dry food (day or night) how often and how much of wet and dry food if im going to feed both in a day?? Thank u.

The best plan would be to weigh your cat and use the info on the packets to work out her daily intake if she was on just try or just wet food. If you give her half of the wet amount and half of the dry it will work out as a daily ration. I would leave the dry out for her then feed the wet nice and fresh once or twice a day.

Noushi can eat a mix of both wet and dry, or she could eat the dry alone. Each brand of food has a different daily recommended allotment of food, so I would read the instructions on the bag to determine how much dry food she should have daily. If you are doing to mix in the wet food, feed half the daily recommended amount of dry food and add in at least half of the daily recommended amount of wet food. Best of luck, I hope this helps!

Great question! I personally leave dry food out all day for my cats so they can graze when hungry, but since one of them is pretty fat, it's likely not the best idea lol. The other two cats are skinny though. You can leave a set amount of dry food out during the day for Katniss to eat when hungry, and give her some wet food in the morning and night. I hope this helps!

There is no blanket statement answer to your question. It depends on what food you are feeding. Every food has a different amount of calories per cup of dry food or for each can of food. Also, is the cat is her normal weight now or is she overweight? You should feed according to the instructions on the packaging using the feeding guide for her ideal weight range. If you aren't fond of math (like me!) a less precise method is to simply keep an eye on his weight and adjust the amount you feed accordingly. When you run your hands over his body, if the ribs can be felt with light pressure then he's a good weight. If you have to really feel around to tell where his ribs are, he could lose a little weight, and if the bones are felt with no pressure at all, he should get fed a little more.

I typically recommend wet food with some dry food mixed in or given as treats, depending on Arabella's weight. Wet food helps maintain adequate hydration which can be beneficial for their kidneys and urinary system. It also has built in portion control and can help with maintaining a normal weight. I would talk to your vet about the proper amounts to feed Arabella but most cats are going to need about 200 calories per day.

My overweight cat eats dry food. What and how much should I feed?

Given that Cinnamon is overweight, I would leave food out for him twice a day. Feed him according to the package instructions on the food, and divide it into two equal portions. You can start giving Cinnamon wet food, as it has fewer calories due to it's higher moisture content. Just be sure to cut down on the dry food you give him. I recommend feeding Cinnamon a high quality cat food, such as Royal Canin or Hill's Science diet.
