My overweight cat eats dry food. What and how much should I feed?

Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Male | neutered | 3 years and 10 months old | 16 lbs

my cat cinnamon is 16pounds and is 3years old how many times a day should I feed him ,he is very greedy but is over weigh and eats dry food also should I switch to wet food and what kind . thank you

Given that Cinnamon is overweight, I would leave food out for him twice a day. Feed him according to the package instructions on the food, and divide it into two equal portions. You can start giving Cinnamon wet food, as it has fewer calories due to it's higher moisture content. Just be sure to cut down on the dry food you give him. I recommend feeding Cinnamon a high quality cat food, such as Royal Canin or Hill's Science diet.

    He should be fed twice a day. If he is overweight than you should pick a reduced calorie food and feed the amount that is recommended on the food. Dry food is ok, if that is the type he likes to eat.
