If he really has gone 12 hours without any urination, you will need to take him back into your veterinarian's office. Male cats do tend to get mucous plugs or stones which can block the urethra and lead to difficulty or the inability to urinate. Not eating or drinking anything either in 12hours is also a concern that needs to be addressed today with the veterinarian who saw and treated Moustachio yesterday. I hope this has helped. Depending on what his urinalysis looked like, you may be able to stop the antibiotics (which can cause nausea and a decrease in appetite). You may also be able to try canned food or a different type of prescription diet food. Regardless, it is more important to get James Bond to eat regardless of what he eats right now in order to prevent potential liver problems from not eating. If blood work has not been checked, that may need to be done as well. If James Bond continues to not eat, he will likely need to be hospitalized. Good luck! Loss of appetite can be observed with many conditions such as gastroenteritis, dietary indiscretion, kidney disease, pancreatitis, among many other possibilities. I am more concerned about the fact that she is not eating well and that needs to be further addressed as it is unlikely to be due to a urinary tract infection. I recommend that you have Luchadora reevaluated by your veterinarian on Saturday for further assessment and treatment. Keep in mind that if she is not feeling well, they may not proceed with vaccines that day. You may take in a urine sample that day. Hello, sorry to hear about Otto. He may not be eating because he does not feel well. He has an upper respiratory infection and likely feels very congested, he also now developed diarrhea and vomiting. So over all he likely feels very sick. He needs to continue his medications and be given time to get over his illness, unless his signs are getting worse. What you may talk to your veterinarian tomorrow about is starting Otto on an appetite stimulant to get him to start eating sooner. The sooner he eats, the better he will likely feel. Additionally, if he is not getting better you may need to consider other diagnostics including an abdominal ultrasound. Hope Otto feels better soon.

You just took him back from the vet and he has been urinating so far. clavamox is an antibiotic that often affects the appetite, the pain killers can do that as well. unless you have reasons to believe he is blocked again i would recommend to wait until tomorrow, if he is not eating by then you should take him back to the vet. don't forget that this condition is often caused due to stress and your main aim is to reduce his stress at the moment, taking him home and back to the vet may add more stress on him and can worsen his condition. stay in touch with your vet on the phone if you are in any doubts.

Hi, it does sound like Chibi is having troubles passing urine. In terms of what you need to do, he needs to be seen by a vet his condition is classed as an emergency. The fact he can't urinate properly but just droplets and that he has retched and refused to eat, can indicate that the inability of pass urine is causing all the waste products to be reabsorbed in his blood. As time goes by he will progressively get worse, so I recommend you try to get hold of your vet explaining you think it is an emergency and 24 hours is too long to wait. Apart from offering water, he needs to have some treatment for urethral obstruction, there is nothing you can do at home apart from keeping him indoors, try to avoid unnecessary stress, make sure he is in a cool room.. and most importantly try to find a vet. If you have any antinflammatories, stop them for the time being as we think he might not be able to urinate and can make his kidneys worse as well as causing Gastro-intestinal issues.
