My cat has ticks, is weak, and won't drink. What should I do?

The weakness and drooling is very concerning and not normal behavior for such a young cat. This may be related to tick borne diseases for weakness from anemia and I strongly recommend an emergency vet visit and blood tests as soon as possible

Thanks for visiting Petcoach! Since mites are not visible without the use of a microscope, I am going to assume you are seeing ticks on Tikvichko. Ticks can be prevented with only 1 preventative that I am aware of on he market right now, and hat product is called Bravecto for cats. Here is a website link with more information. https://us.bravecto.com/for-cats.aspx But to rid the ticks that are on him currently, and also to treat for his other conditions (likely an upper respiratory infection and possible tick borne disease) I highly recommend taking him in to your vet for a proper exam and possible tests to make sure he didn’t get some infection from the ticks. Possible cause of his white gums are anemia (leukemia, blood loss from fleas, immune mediated disease, not making red blood cells due to bone marrow disease), severe dehydration causing poor blood pressure and shock or hypothermia. Anemia causes weakness and overall sick feeling which causes a poor appetite. His eye may or may not be related. He could have a corneal ulcer, conjunctivitis, or uveitis. Ticks rarely produce bad infections or transmit diseases in cats but if Jasmine remains quiet and does not want to eat, you should take her to your local vets for an appointment.

Hi there. There are a few things you need to rule out here-internal parasites, external parasites, and internal abnormalities due to other factors (diabetes, anemia, etc). To evaluate this condition further you really need to have bloodwork done on him. Especially if he is not eating or drinking and of such weakness That you take note of it-he needs to be seen by a vet. At home you can try to comfort him, give him a warm towel to lie on and keep fresh water available. I hope this helps.
