My cat is sick, drooling, and lethargic. Is it an emergency?

I am sorry to hear about Blue. One thing we worry about in male cats exhibiting this behavior is a urinary blockage. It can make them lethargic, vomit, not eat, painful (drooling can be a sign of pain). If you aren't sure he is urinating normally or if you press on his lower belly and he is painful then we would be very concerned this could be his issue and this is a medical emergency and he should be seen right away.

I do think that this sounds like a serious, potentially life-threatening problem that shouldn't wait until tomorrow, so I would recommend taking him to an emergency clinic today to be seen. If you're not sure where to go, try calling your regular vet's office - their voicemail message should have contact information for your nearest ER or an on-call doctor for emergencies.

Unfortunately his symptoms are quite general and could be caused by a number of different things such as a systemic illness, infection, inflammation, or an injury. The only way to know for sure what is causing them is to have him seen by a vet, and I'd recommend taking him in first thing in the morning so he can be examined, diagnosed, and treated. This is an emergency. Sophie needs to be seen by a veterinarian right away. Please take her to a vet or pet ER now. The signs are too unspecific, however she is very likely severely dehydrated and will need fluids, the drooling points to a trauma in the mouth, jaw or head (maybe she was hit by a car) and the smelly breath also points to infection of a possible wound or fracture. Please take Sophie to a vet now.

I am so sorry to hear about your kitty. Chipotle sounds like and appears to be quite ill based on your description/photos. The drooling could be do to nausea (which can be due to many different diseases), infection in the mouth or the throat or nasal passages, tumors in these areas. He needs to be seen by a veterinarian as soon as possible to determine what is causing these symptoms.

The weakness and drooling is very concerning and not normal behavior for such a young cat. This may be related to tick borne diseases for weakness from anemia and I strongly recommend an emergency vet visit and blood tests as soon as possible
