Why is my cat pooping liquid after eating Greenies dental treats?

It could be Beanz had diarrhea and couldn't control his bowels. Feed him a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet. If the diarrhea continues on the bland diet, he refuses to eat the bland diet, he starts vomiting food, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, he will need to see a vet right away. HI, some dogs have sensitive stomachs and switching foods is not recommended. One option is to make sure you are feeding her a bland food with a chicken and rice base. I would stay away form the milkbone treats and give a greenie only occasionally, not every day. If you want to be really safe, exclude all treats from her diet unless they are a bland chicken. You can even feed the Hill's ID diet life long if needed. I certainly recommend changing up her diet then staying consistent with it. Good luck, I hope this helps!

Diarrhea can be observed with conditions such as colitis, gastroenteritis, dietary indiscretion, intestinal parasites, among many other possibilities. She is likely experiencing dietary indiscretion from eating the treats. You can stop giving the treats to see if her runny stools improve. If these continue, I recommend that you have Dubh evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Hi and thanks for posting on Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Temptations and Greenies are not very digestible which is why they can cause stomach upset. Commericial treats such as these can be highly processed, contain a variety of aritcial ingredients and flavors and contain high fat and low fiber content with fillers in them which can cause GI upset. A good alternative would be Smittens cat treats by Honest Kitchen which are all natural. I hope this helps!

Withhold food for 12 hours then offer Mia boiled boneless chicken and rice every 6 hours in small portions. if she is eating and not vomiting, continue with this diet for 2 days. After 2 days, you can put her back gradually on her normal food. If she continues having diarrhea , take her to the vet to get treatment.
