My cat had kittens. How do I ensure they grow up healthy?

My cat just gave birth to 6 Kittens. Is there any way i could help them to stay healthy?

Make sure there is no stress, leave mama alone. Do not constantly handle the kittens. Feed Bambi good quality kitten food, wet and dry. Leave the kittens with mama until they are at least 12 weeks old.
Take them to a veterinarian for vaccinations at the age of 8 weeks (and continue for the next rounds of vaccinations as your vet prescribes), start worming them at 6 weeks and worm them every 2 weeks until they are 12 weeks old.
Apart from that, cat mamas are great mothers who will teach their kittens everything they need to know, what food to eat, how to use a cat litter box, how to hunt, how to play fight (important for kittens to grow up with their siblings until they are 12 weeks plus old.)

I would recommend giving Bella a food higher in calories such as kitten food as she's nursing. You should also monitor the kittens for steady weight gain as well as any signs of weakness, parasites or failure to grow. The kittens should be dewormed around 2 to 3 weeks of age and then every 2 to 3 weeks after that. They should be seen by a veterinarian around five to six weeks of age. At that time Bella should be checked out to to make sure she is recovering well.

Hi, kittens should have toys that stimulate activity and exercise, like toys that have feathers on them, balls and catnip infused toys. For protection against parasites, she should be on a monthly topical preventative such as frontline, vectra or revolution. Good food is essential, and any high quality brand like Science Diet dry food or canned food should be good. I would not free feed her, only give him her portion of dry food twice a day to avoid het getting overweight. Also, Bella should be taken to a vet a dewormed and spayed. Good luck with Bella!

What food should I feed my cat after she has kittens for nutrition?

I would feed her wet/canned kitten food during the last three weeks of pregnancy so she hass enough nutrition for making her babies grow properly. Oncee she has given birth you can keep feeding her the kitten food, so there will be an easy transition when the kittens will start to eat solid food at around 6 weeks. Find homes for them now, but do not give them away before they are 12 weeks old, as they will still need mama to teach them to be good kitties, to hunt, what is safe, what is not, etc. They will also need their siblings to play and play hunt and get coordination.

Is Whiskas dry food and kitten food okay for my nursing cat?

It is perfect to feed the mama cat kitten food as well as long as she is feeding her kittens. This is correct! This should provide her with the energy needed to stay in good condition and also give enough milk to raise her kittens well. Please leave the kittens with their mama until they are 12 weeks old, as she will teach them everything necessary to become good cats (cleaning, toileting, hunting, etc.).

BoGi should be getting a high quality kitten food as long as she is nursing. She can be spayed a few weeks after the kittens are weaned - I typically recommend when the kittens are about 8 weeks. The kittens should be weighed daily to make sure they gain weight every day. They can be dewormer ever two weeks starting at two weeks of age. Vaccinations are typically started at 6-8 weeks. Kitten food should be offered around 4 weeks or so. The kittens should be spayed or neutered before 5 months of age.
