My cat fell from 15 feet and seems fine. Does he need a vet?

If she seems to be fine then just be sure to keep a careful eye on her to ensure she hasn't injured yourself. While petting her, take care to run your hands over her gently to see if she has any swelling or seems painful anywhere, if so, I recommend getting her seen by your vet as soon as possible. As long as she seems normal, eating, drinking, doing her daily cat routine, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

If you can't find any emergency vet in your area then you should just monitor him closely, the main thing to watch is the breathing and respiration rate (should not be over 35 breaths per minute), if he seems fine that is already a miracle, you will still need to take him to the vet once it opens to make sure there are no fractures or internal injuries.

Kittens are pretty resilient, & we often see these heart stopping accidents with absolutely no serious effects to the cat or kitten. If the kitten seems comfortable, no difficulty or abnormal breathing, then he should be fine. Well that wasn't good that Isabella jumped that height! Given that she meowed and jumped on the bed, not limping or crying in pain, I would suspect she was not injured from that jump. If she was injured, she would be limping, crying in pain, and would be lethargic. I suspect she is ok, but hopefully she doesn't do that again!

Take your kitten to a veterinarian as soon as posdible in the event of trauma like this. Many things can happen including broken bones, damage to the lungs, lacerated organs, etc. Many times they fall on their faces and have facial or jaw fractures. A full exam will be performed and xrays will likely be recommended. Hopefully your kitten is okay and some pain medication can be prescribed. Poor Milo! That fall would have been scary for you and him. He's such a cutie, I love Ragdolls. I have one myself. He may be sore from the fall. I recommend resting him for the next 48 hours. No running, jumping, or playing. If he still appears painful after this time, then I would take him into the vet for an exam. The vet can diagnose where the pain is coming from, and can dictate a treatment plan for it. He may also benefit from some pain medications, which the vet can prescribe. Please do not give him any human pain medications, as many are toxic to cats and are fatal if given. I hope this helps!
