My cat is throwing up, has diarrhea, twitching, and is anxious. Why?

Poor Tigger! It sounds like she has multiple things going on. I am worried that she may have hyperthroidism (too high thyroid) which is making her eat really fast/ravenously and causing her to vomit. The head bobbing could be due to this or another issue like diabetes, kidney disease and much more. I strongly recommend to have her checked out by your vet. Your vet can check her bloodwork to figure out the problems and get her started on the proper meds to help her feel better and stop the vomiting. I hope this helps!

I recommend letting his veterinarian know of this change in behavior. He will likely need blood work and urine samples tested. Diabetes, kidney disease and thyroid disorders can all affect thirst. I would recommend that you have Alfie examined by a veterinarian. His symptoms could be caused by food intolerance, food allergies, intestinal parasites, inflammatory bowel disease, intestinal lymphoma, hyperthyroidism, systemic disease (liver, kidney, pancreas, diabetes), among others. After a thorough physical exam and review of his history, the vet may recommend bloodwork, intestinal parasite screening, or ultrasound to determine what could be the cause. They may also recommend that you do food trial for possible food allergies.

It sounds as Tiger is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to medication you gave him. i would recommend taking him to the vet the first chance you get, he will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection he will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better.

It definitely sounds like he is sick, and I'm concerned about the vomiting, diarrhea, but most especially the panting. If he's back to normal for now, keep a close eye him. Should he start panting again, take him into an ER vet because panting is a sign of respiratory distress in cats. I can also give you home remedy for the vomiting. I recommend withholding food for 12-24 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet. If the vomiting continues in the absence of food, he vomits the bland diet, has diarrhea on the bland diet, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, he will need to see a vet right away. Tater is adorable! The signs you are describing can be due to a reaction to a flea/tick preventative or a number of toxins in the environment. It is definitely concerning that Tater is also having diarrhea and loss of appetite/energy as this can be caused by viral and parasitic infections. I recommend having Tater seen by a vet as soon as possible to determine what is going on and begin the appropriate treatment. Your vet will likely recommend a fecal exam and blood work.
