My cat's anal sacs were expressed, material is yellow. Is it infected?

My cat had anal sac impaction i expressed them , the odor was so bad , how could i know if it is infected or not ? The material was yellow to white

While the smell of anal sac contents is typically quite bad, the material should not be yellow to white. It's normally a brownish color, and so I would be concerned that the color of the expressed material is a sign of infection. I would have Asai seen by a vet for this, as she may need antibiotics to treat the infection.
