Why is my aggressive cat throwing up after being drugged for a bath?

Antibiotics can cause GI upset in cats, so it could be that Korben Dallas was eating less while he was on the antibiotics. Now that he's off the antibiotics, he's feeling better and eating much more quickly. That would be why he's throwing up all of his food. I would try to feed him smaller amounts more frequently to have him slow down his eating. If that doesn't help with the vomiting, I would take him into the vet for an exam, as he could have a medical illness causing the vomiting.

It sounds as Tiger is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to medication you gave him. i would recommend taking him to the vet the first chance you get, he will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection he will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better.

I am sorry to hear your cat is not feeling well. If this medication was prescribed by your veterinarian and your cat is still vomiting despite the medication then I would seek veterinary care immediately. If the medication was NOT prescribed by your veterinarian then please do not give any more, and take your cat in for evaluation. You do not mention how old the kitty is-any number of issues could be going on. A foreign body obstruction in the intestinal tract, a gastrointestinal infection, dietary indiscretion, a cancerous process, even renal failure can cause the symptoms you have noted. Your cat needs a thorough physical exam and your vet May recommend some diagnostics such as xrays and bloodwork. I hope your kitty feels better soon.

Is he still on the antibiotics? If so maybe you could call and request a different medication? If he is no longer taking the medication and he is still vomiting then she should have a follow up appointment. It is possible that it is just coincidental with the neutering and he could have a foreign body in his stomach, or a parasite causing him to vomit. I'm sorry that you are dealing with this with Laundry. There are a number of anti-nausea medications that can be helpful for Laundry. And if your veterinarian has not recently checked his blood work (including a thyroid level) and blood pressure, I would certainly recheck those values to make sure that they are normal. Then, you can discuss the best anti-nausea medication with your veterinarian to help Laundry feel better. This should subside within 1-2 days. The vomiting could certainly be due to other reasons like gastroenteritis. It all depends on the type of anesthesia. Once the drugs do kick in, it tends to be fast (many medications do slow the heart rate) and some pet' may vomit in response to the medication. I recommend to ask this question to your veterinarian who knows what medications the used on Si and will be better able to answer if this was a normal response or not. I hope this helps.
