My 5-year-old cat keeps throwing up. Is it the expired medicine?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 5 years and 11 months old | 12 lbs

I have an inside cat. He is 5 years old. He has thrown up 6 times in the last 24 hours. Yesterday morning, I gave him a pink medicine that has to stay refrigerated that I got from the vet a couple months ago for when he breaks out in rashes. It expires 12-2018. He threw up 30 min after the medicine was given, twice. He threw up again at 4pm twice and again at 3:30am twice. Gums are normal colored. No blood in vomit or stools.

It sounds as Tiger is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to medication you gave him. i would recommend taking him to the vet the first chance you get, he will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection he will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better.

Vomiting can be a sign of a health condition, especially if it is happening more frequently. It can be a sign of a wide variety of health conditions so it is hard to say exactly what the problem is without examining Tiger first.

Kidney or liver disease can cause nausea as can certain gastrointestinal disorders such as IBD or food allergies. Certain cancers can cause vomiting as well.

My best advise is for you to take Tiger to see his veterinarian for an exam and blood work to determine if there is anything serious causing the vomiting.
