Is it safe to use Advocate and Exelpet All-Wormer on my cat?

The Advantage Multi and Drontal contain different ingredients that do not negatively interact in the body, so they are safe to give together. Drontal usually comes in a size-specific bottle for cats and will have the recommended dosage labeled on the side. I recommend only using the Drontal as stated by the manufacturer. Advocate is not effective against tapeworms. I recommend you get your vet to identify the worms to ensure they are indeed tapeworms so the safest and most appropriate treatment can be prescribed. There are very few treatments available for tapeworm and they are mostly oral products

Advocate does not treat for these specific type of worms- tapeworms. And tapeworms come from your pet either ingesting an infected flea or eating another pets poop that has tapeworms in it. You can give the profender a minimum of 2 after giving another topical flea preventative, since it is an intestinal worm treatment only. So if it has been at least 2 full days now, you can go ahead and apply the Profender and its best to keep Morph on Advocate monthly to prevent re-infection. Generally we recommend to give advocate first followed later by drontal but as a rule the two products do not have any additive effects or reactions. Non-urgent meds are usually best separated and advocate and drontal should be separated because of the flea-tapeworm lifestyle. Certain fleas contain tapeworm larvae which hatch when swallowed; once you have killed all the fleas you would then follow on with tablet to kill any tapeworms. Monitor for any strange behaviors and report to your vet with this history of it occurs within 24hrs but this is very unlikely

Frend is so handsome, and he's so lucky that you have allowed yourselves to be adopted. Using a deworming treatment is an excellent idea, especially since he lives outdoors. I would recommend using Drontal or Panacur. You can get them from the vet (it would be a good idea to get him checked out by the vet, get him vaccines as well), and they are safe. No worries. There is a wide safetly margin with the amount of dewormer a pet can have in one sitting. Olive will be just fine with the dewormer and heartworm prevention given at the same time. : ) In fact we give heartworm prevention and bi-annual dewormers together all the time.
