I have a duckling that hatched with some membrane stuck to its eye and back, so I bathed it in warm water a few times a day. I then noticed the start of an inner eyelid infection, and following the advice of a friend I treated it with chloramphenicol eye drops. This seemed to work and the infection looks gone, but the eye now looks like it doesnt work and sits further back in the socket, with a white spot in the middle. I'm assuming the eye wont work, but does it need to be taken out?
