My 8-week-old baby bird has something in its eye. What's causing it?

It is very difficult to say what it may be just by looking at some photos. My best guess would be some injury/inflammation to the cornea due to mild trauma. He would need an exam in person with a vet so they can use an ophthalmoscope to get a better look at the eye. In the meantime you can use this eye gel to see if it helps.
