Why is my bird vomiting seeds and has grey stuff in its feathers?

Hi and thank you for your question, Vomiting/regurgitation in a parrot is potentially serious. There are many potential causes - lead/zinc poisoning, infections (bacterial, viral, fungal) etc. etc. You really have to try and find an avian vet for this. A good place to start (for the vet) would be to get Xray images and see if Nano has ingested any foreign objects and/or has a very dilated stomach. Regards

Ingested foreign bodies are not uncommon in birds, and ingested clumping litter can harden in the crop or lower gastrointestinal tract, but also consider other foreign bodies such as items that contain zinc or lead. These metals are soft and can lead to nausea. Metabolic disorders and infections are other possibilities. A veterinary visit is recommended to assess and provide a diagnostic/treatment plan. Those are some pretty loose stools and/or vomit. I would pick up any extras such as toys he may be eating, snacks, treats, etc for a day to see if this resolves the issue as these can sometimes cause GI irritation and upset. If the vomiting continues, you see more loose stool, or you see other symptoms such as changes in appetite, behavior, energy levels, etc, then it would be best to bring your bird to your vet as there could be an issue such as an infection, obstruction, GI upset, parasites, etc causing it.

Ingestion of toxic compounds (zinc, lead, other foreign bodies), renal or liver disease, some viral disease.
