What's causing my bird's eye problem or swelling around its eye?

It is very difficult to say what it may be just by looking at some photos. My best guess would be some injury/inflammation to the cornea due to mild trauma. He would need an exam in person with a vet so they can use an ophthalmoscope to get a better look at the eye. The lesion is probably due to self scratching, but could be in result of a skin infection, sinus pressure (bird's sinuses surround the eye), bruising, feather mites and more. Monitor for now but if get larger or really seems to be bothering him, a veterinary visit is recommended. Good luck.

Although the picture is out of focus and I would recommend to post another pic to have a more specific answer, the eye discharge could be related to an upper respiratory tract jnfection/inflammation. A clinical examination at your local veterinarian is essential to confirm this clinical suspicion and treat appropriately. A different or systemic antibiotics may be needed. If does not move, a veterinary visit is recommended to assess and provide a diagnostic/treatment plan. Corneal scarring, corneal deposits (lipids, cholesterol) and other problems are psosible. Hi and thank you for your question, The pics are not the clearest, but it is probably the infraorbital sinus on either side. The nodules are most likely due to sinusitis. This will need veterinary treatment (likely antibiotics). Regards

The cause of the swelling could eventually originate from the conjunctiva but from other eye structures as well.Swelling per se' could be caused by a damage of the surface of the eye (corneal ulceration). Inflammations (from allergies or trauma) or infection are both possible. Immediate check up is absolutely needed at your local veterinarian. Antibiotics may be needed in case of an infection.
