My mare has stomach movement and flank sensitivity. Is she pregnant?

The gestation length of a horse is 320-362 days. If Buttermilk is still within this time period, then yes she could still be pregnant. Unfortunately, this question is slightly vague, and I do not know if she was previously pregnant and lost the pregnancy, or if she was mated a while ago and you are wondering when she may be due. I would have an equine vet come out to examine Cleiopatra. The vet can do a rectal exam and ultrasound to confirm if she is pregnant or not. If she is pregnant, I would say she would be due soon if she was mated in late January/early February as a horse's gestation lasts 335-360 days. Along with c confirming the pregnancy, the vet can give you an estimate of how far along she is in the pregnancy. While there, the vet can treat her rain scald as well. Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! If Girttie's belly is huge and she is producing milk she is very likely pregnant. If he belly wasn't big and she was producing milk she could be experiencing a false pregnancy. I would count back to when she was in heat. Dogs are pregnant for about 63 days. They do have a temperature drop most of the time BUT not always. It usually drops below 99 a few hours to 1 day before the start of labor. Dogs can start to product milk up to a week to a few days before labor. It is hard to feel the puppies move. If you want to confirm the number of puppies make a Vet appointment to have an X-ray taken to count the skeletons. Since she is so small it is good to talk to your Vet in case you run in to complications where you may require their help with delivery or a C-section. My guess is that she is due very soon, less than 7 days. I hope this helps!

Hello. It is very difficult to say if she is or is not pregnant from these pictures, because if she is only carrying 1 or 2 kittens, then she would not be as big as one carrying 4-6 kittens. And if she is truly 68 days into a pregnancy, she is overdue. If she does have kittens you should be able to rub on her abdomen & feel some substantial "bumps" at this point in time. If Sophie is sweating and trying to lay down or appears in distress at all I would recomend calling an equine vet now. Sweating, protruding veins can be signs of pain or discomfort and if she is constantly trying to lay down that is not typical behavior. She may be colicky or possibly miscarrying the foal. Try keeping her on her feet and walking as you get in touch with a vet. Do not let her down to roll. If she is kicking or biting at her flank those are further signs that she has abdominal pain.
