Not Great Glue

Similar to other reviews, this glue takes an unexpectedly long time to dry, and unfortunately, it doesn’t hold well at all. I was trying to glue some rocks together to create a cave for my saltwater tank, and after waiting about 8 minutes for it to "set," I gently tried to pick it up and place it in the tank—only to have the pieces completely fall apart. On top of that, the glue tube arrived with a small hole in the center, causing the glue to spill out and get all over my hands. This has definitely been a frustrating experience and not one I’d recommend for anyone trying to use it for aquarium projects.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Tube needs to be stronger. Glue doesn’t work

Doesn’t hold. Needs a ridiculous amount of time to dry and when it finally does it just breaks off. And the next time you go to use it the tube cracks and glue gets everywhere.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I wanted to make a rock cave for my turtle and didn't want it to collapse on her. So I bought this, it was easy to squeeze the glue out. It's VERY IMPORTANT that you let it set. Like most glues you need to let it set for atleast a day. I left mine to set for 48 hours before I put the rocks into the water. Also make sure u apply the glue on dry items.

Yes, I recommend this product.

I want to a glue a small piece of driftwood onto two small rocks to give it make it higher so my betta can swim under the arched driftwood. Will this work? Also is this glue safe for my betta?

  1. yes, all cyanoacrylate glue is aquarium safe because it is inert in water. dry it outside of the tank first so it bonds. also, note that this glue, CA glue, is the same as most other commercially available superglues (eg "krazy glue"). The only thing I would watch out for is that your driftwood doesn't have sharp edges or protrusions, bettas can easily injure themselves on these.

Will this work on lava rock?
