Pretty lame I didn’t realize that they changed their logo I thought the bucket was gonna have the cat and dog on it I know it’s a silly thing to complain about but that’s really the only reason I got it at the price I did if I knew this I would’ve just went and got a lowes bucket I only use it to hold rock salt anyway but still

I bought this because it was blue. Sure you can possibly get a 5 gallon bucket with lid cheaper elsewhere but I needed a blue one. Bought it to store home made laundry soap. I bought mine in store and the price included the lid. I will be buying another one to start a hydroponic tomato plant that someone abandoned at my local petco. It is a great quality bucket and the lid secures very well with limited effort. The handle is quite durable as it is strong enough to carry the bucket full of water across my house. I bought mine about a year ago and it is plain blue, no logos at all.

Honestly do not being talked down too by someone and told I don’t know what I’m doing with my fish aquarium. I came into buy fish and was told no she wasn’t going to get that fish cause they wouldn’t last long in my tank.

Amazing experience!! Want to recognize AJ at the Petco on BBD and CLR - he was amazing! Answered ALL my questions about my new family member (fish) and was more than friendly and helpful. I am huge on customer service and AJ was the best!! He should be promoted! Give that guy a raise!

Where is it actually to get to 5 gallon all the way to the first line on the top or all the way to the top of the bucket

It is all the way to the top. I use these for changing out the water in my aquariums, so I have it marked for every gallon, This is how I know.

Yes, it does come with a lid. I use the bucket when I clean my aquarium, so I am not sure how air-tight it is.

The stated dimensions of the bucket is 15 inches tall and 8 1/2 diameter. Is this correct? The above dimensions can not hold 5 gallons. I think either the stated dimensions or capacity is incorrect.

I have 5 PETCO buckets, and all hold 5 gallons. Measured an empty one at 14” tall by a bottom diameter of 10.5”. Bucket tapers very slightly more toward the top.

Is this "food-grade?"

The bottom of the bucket says it's a "2." And also says it's HDPE. As far as I know, both of these identifiers indicate that it actually is food-grade. And if it's not food grade, I find it really interesting that it has a food-grade price. If not food-grade, this bucket should be half the price. And if not food grade, we would obviously not want to put water in it and then drink it, but Petco wants us to put that same water in it and then put fish in that water.

I bought two of these and one came with the lid securely fastened. I cannot get that lid off! Is there a trick to it? Please tell me how to remove it without breaking it so I don’t have to take it back!!
