Yes, your bunny should be vaccinated against Myxomatosis and Rabbit Hemorrhagic disease. Best call your veterinarian to find out if he carries the vaccine and if not, whether he can order it. Usually veterinarians who treat bunnies regularly carry the vaccines.

The main reason for vaccinating any rabbit is a fatal disease called Myxomatosis, if an unvaccinated rabbit contracts the disease (usually through mosquitoes) , it is 100% fatal. the only effective protection against this disease is this vaccine.

Hello. Rabbits can be vaccinated against rabies, especially if they are to be kept outdoors & there is a threat of contact with wild animals. We use a vaccine called IMRAB for rabbits at risk, or are in petting zoos. Rabbits are very prone to developing injection site swellings & abscesses, so this is a potential problem with vaccinations in rabbits. However, if your rabbit has any exposure to wildlife by going outside into your yard, has a wound you cant explain, or has been showing behavior changes or aggression, the. I would be more concerned for possible exposure. The best thing you can do is to contact your own personal physician and the health department and explain the scenario.
