My 2-week-old rabbit has red, swollen genitals and pee on paws.

Infection and inflammation of the skin around the vulva in female rabbits can be fairly common. So far, you did the right thing by gently cleansing the area. Your veterinarian will likely need to clip and clean the area of inflammed skin and will probably prescribe some antibiotics and possibly a topical ointment to help the skin heal. What a cute bunny! From the photo the area on the skin looks as though it has healed- if there is a defect in the skin itself then an exam by the vet is recommended as he may need antibiotics. I cannot see any redness to his eyes in this photo, so I am not sure if you mean that his eye color is red or if he has red eye lids or the white of his eyes look red. If he is rubbing at his eyes/blinking alot, has excess tears or a green or yellow discharge from the eyes these would be cause for a vet exam as well. If he is not acting lethargic and is eating/drinking I would monitor the urine for a few days- if he becomes lethargic/is straining to pee/stops eating or drinking or the urine continues to look red then an exam is recommended.

Urine scalding is very serious and treatment must be initiated by your veterinarian. Doing nothing is not an option, nor is simply repeatedly washing the rabbit as this will make it very sore and distressed and will not solve the problem. It will be important for your veterinarian to find out the cause of the problem and take steps to resolve it rather than just try and treat the symptoms. Some underlying causes of urine scalding include obesity, arthritis, urinary tract infection, even crystals in the bladder/urine. Your vet may prescribe antibiotics to help treat Nibbles. It is possible your bunny has a urinary tract infection (red urine and urinary accidents can both be seen with this condition). Another possibility would be a bladder stone or tumor. Your bunny should see a veterinarian to check her urine, and start an antibiotic if needed or have an x-ray if no sign of infection is seen in the urine.

She has an infection. It may just be the external structures you can see or it may be coming from the inside (either a bladder infection or a uterine infection). If you have tried to breed her and she isn't getting pregnant then she may very well have an underlying uterine infection. I suggest you get her to a vet for an exam. Hope this helps. Best wishes.

Thanks for reaching out about Snow white and including a picture. Washing/wiping the area with a clean, warm, wet wash cloth and maybe a little soap. Don't apply anything such as a topical antibiotic, because if Snow white ingests it, could cause gastrointestinal upset. If the damaged area becomes infected or enlarges, seek a veterinarian.
