Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Small Animal | Rabbit | Female | unspayed | 3 years and 8 months old | 2.5 lbs

My usually spunky 3 uesr old bunny is lacking energy the past 24 hours. Her pee hole is red and she has been having pee accidents outside her litterbox. I keep her cage very clean.

It is possible your bunny has a urinary tract infection (red urine and urinary accidents can both be seen with this condition). Another possibility would be a bladder stone or tumor. Your bunny should see a veterinarian to check her urine, and start an antibiotic if needed or have an x-ray if no sign of infection is seen in the urine.
