How much pellet food should my 6-month-old rabbits eat daily?

Pellets should be limited to no more than 1/8 cup daily. You can feed a1 cup of vegetables per 4 pounds of body weight daily. Timothy hay or similar grasses can be offered in unlimited amounts. Alfalfa can be fed up until 7 months of age then discontinued.

Rabbits should be eating adult food by 6-7 months of age. Discontinue feeding alfalfa at that time also. Feed unlimited amounts of timothy hay, oat hay and similar grasses. Limit commercial pellets to no more than 1/8 to 1/4 cup daily for adults.

That's fine, as long as they are kept warm. Does (female rabbits) typically nurse once or twice daily. The kits (bunnies) will begin munching on hay within the next few days. Petey should have unlimited access to timothy hay or similar grasses. You can feed a small amount of commercial pellets and fresh greens twice daily. It isn't critical, but try to keep a consistent schedule for feeding.

Great questions! From weaning up to seven months of age, Lenny can have unlimited amounts of pellets and alfalfa hay. Since he can have this food in an unlimited amount, just make sure he has plenty of both at all times, replacing old food with fresh food at least once a day. Do not start introducing vegetables until he is three months of age. At that point in time, start introducing small amounts at a time. I hope this helps!

It is impossible to say exactly how much should be fed without seeing the food. However, most pelleted diets can be fed freely to rabbits that are young and active. In terms of treats, I recommend one fruit or veggie treat per day, about 1/8-1/4 cup total depending on the food. For example, berries and more dense foods should be given as smaller servings while leafy greens can be given in larger amounts.
