How much should I feed my 3-month-old Mini Lop rabbit, including pellets?

Great questions! From weaning up to seven months of age, Lenny can have unlimited amounts of pellets and alfalfa hay. Since he can have this food in an unlimited amount, just make sure he has plenty of both at all times, replacing old food with fresh food at least once a day. Do not start introducing vegetables until he is three months of age. At that point in time, start introducing small amounts at a time. I hope this helps!

Hi there. A high portion of the rabbits diet should be coming from Timothy hay. I usually recommend 1/4 cup per day of pellets per rabbit. This small breed rabbit should weigh between 2.5lbs and 3.5lbs. Review the diet and limit commercial pellets to no more than 1/8 cup daily. Feed as much timothy hay and similar grasses as she will eat. Avoid alfalfa if she is older than 6-7 months. Increase activity if possible.

Petey should have unlimited access to timothy hay or similar grasses. You can feed a small amount of commercial pellets and fresh greens twice daily. It isn't critical, but try to keep a consistent schedule for feeding.

For an adult rabbit the percentages should be 85-90% hay ( timothy, grass hay, oat hay and so on) up to 10% veggies and up to 5% fruits (no more than 1 oz. per 3 lbs. body weight). The rest can be given in pellets.
