Is Winalot Perfect Portions recommended for an 18-week-old puppy?

Hello, any of these diets could be recommended by your veterinarian. If you feed the recommended doses as detailed on the bags then this should be sufficient for a puppy, however, in an older dog this may be too rich for her. If your veterinarian is recommending that she continues to eat a puppy food, then my choice would be a Royal Canin diet. Otherwise, you can feed a supplemented or bigger portion adult diet. These are science diet, royal canin and purina pro plan. Only these three Have undergone detailed research to ensure they provide an adequate and nutritious diet for pets. This reasearch is approved by veterinarians. Any other food brands may not be as regulated or researched as thoroughly. For this reason I would only advise feeding one of those three. I would also highly recommend that for Brodie you find a puppy formulation of whichever brand you chose for medium breed dogs. Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Any of the following brands can be fed so long as it is puppy food for small dogs. The food needs to be slowly transition over 7-10 days introducing the new food in about 20% increment every other day. For detail, contact your veterinarian on how to transition the food. Recommended brands are Royal Canin, Hill's Science Diet, Purina Pro Plan, and Iams. Choose one, and stick with it until about one year of age. After that, transition to an adult formula for small breeds from the same brand. Void feeding anything other than the dogs food and a few treats made specifically for dogs. Hopes this helps!

Hello and thank you for reaching out to Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Browny can eat any dog food diet that is formulated for puppies/growth, and ideally for large-breed dogs. Highly recommended brands include Royal Canin, Purina, and Hills, but other well known companies such as Pedigree are also appropriate. As long as the diet is not vegan, vegetarian or grain free, any puppy dog food diet should be OK. The dog food bag should have a feeding chart on it that outlines how much food Browny should be fed with each meal, based on her weight. I hope this is helpful!

Beau is a real cutie! Yes, I agree you should switch food. There are better brands with higher quality ingredients. Science Diet, Purina ProPlan and Eukanuba are all great diets. My favorite brand (and what I feed my own dogs) is Royal Canin. For Beau, I would recommend this food: https://www.royalcanin.com/us/dogs/products/retail-products/pug-puppy-dry-dog-food Beau does not need canned food but you can give it as a treat or mix it in with his kibble every day. Pick a high quality, canned puppy food. Canned food does tend to have more calories than dry food so watch his weight closely. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I am not sure I am reading this right but I will try to clarify what I think you mean. Prince should be fed a large breed puppy food. In the States, giant breed is for mastiffs and Great Danes so large breed is perfect for a Rottweiler. Royal Canin makes excellent puppy and dog food. At 5 weeks he can definitely have puppy food as long as he has teeth. You may need to water down the dry food to make it softer for him to chew. These foods are designed for young puppies until about 1 year of age. It has the proper blend of vitamins and minerals to help his body and organs grow. I would continue to feed the Royal Canin. In the States we call biscuits “treats”, so as long as you mean biscuits is food and not treats you should be all set. I hope this helps. Good luck and kisses to Prince!

Buddy is so cute! I'm not sure if the Pro Pac kibbles is a puppy formulated food, and if it's not, he needs to be on one. Puppies need higher amounts of protein, calcium, and calories than an adult dog and a puppy formulated food will provide one. Brands of puppy food I personally recommend include Royal Canin, Hill's Science diet, Purina ProPlan, and Iams. It's fine to add in canned dog food, just make sure it's puppy formulated. The brands I mentioned above have puppy canned food as well as the dry kibble. I hope this helps :-)
