My white chihuahua puppy's skin is turning brown. Is it normal?

Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Male | unneutered | 6 months and 7 days old | 6 lbs

My normally white chihuahuas testicular have started turning brown on the inside of the ball area. Also his punishment has turned a darker color. He is 6 months. I'm not sure if this is pigmentation or something else that is serious. He has started getting brown pigmentation all over his legs and stomach area as well.

If Pico isn't itching or licking the area, if the skin's not red or scabby and if the fur looks normal, this is probably normal. As they age, the skin can darken, particularly in the groin and armpits.

If Pico seems to be scratching or licking more, or if you sees signs of infection, then make an appointment to have him examined. Allergies can cause the skin to darker as well.

The pictures look like it could just be normal pigment change. As puppies mature their pigmentation can as well. If the skin is raised, thicker, crusty, or itchy then I would be concerned. If you have any concerns then I would encourage you to have him evaluated by your veterinarian. If there is a concern then a biopsy could easily be done at the time of his neuter. It isn't abnormal for the puppy pink skin to darkened in these area to a uniform greyish brown color. the skin should still be soft and not "elephant" like which indicates excessive licking. My puppy's belly changed color. Should I be worried or is it normal?

This looks like hyperpigmentation. It typically occurs in lightly pigmented, sparsely haired regions as dogs get older. It can also be caused my inflammation so just make sure she is not spending too much time sunbathing and that there are no other signs like licking/scratching/lesions.
