Can my 8-week unvaccinated puppy catch diseases from garden foxes?

It's fine to take her to your back garden only before she is vaccinated, as long as there is no access to other dogs in your garden. she can catch fleas so i would recommend treating her for fleas regularly once she starts to go out.

Vaccines in puppies should be given every 3-4 weeks starting at 8 weeks of age. So he can be boostered at 11-12 weeks (looks like he has about a week to go). The chances of him getting something from the unvaccinated dog's owner is pretty minimal but there is always a slight chance. I personally would not be too worried about it but there are a couple things you could do to minimize risk. You could just kindly ask her to wash her hands before petting. The other option is that you don't have to let her pet him at all. You can always say you are busy training him and you would prefer that no one pets him for now if you want to avoid a conflict..... The vaccinations you would give a puppy does not protect against any human diseases he may catch (like a flu virus). The vaccinations are for dog diseases. I strongly recommend you start the vaccinations for Coco. They should have been started at 8 weeks of age. They get most of the contagious disease form direct contact with a sick dog or by eating infected stool. Just walking your dog doesn't necessarily put them at risk. Keep up with his DHPP vaccine every 3-4 weeks until he has had two past 12 weeks of age. Signs to look out for are: vomiting, diarrhea, not eating, lethargy. I wish you the best

The unvaccinated Puppy will be at risk of contracting viruses from the environment that the litter-mates will be protected from, not at risk of getting the virus from the other puppies. If the environment is clean and free from viruses, and no exposure to unvaccinated animals occurs, then Junior should be ok. I recommend getting him vaccinated ASAP. At 8 weeks though he should still have some immunity from his mom if she was vaccinated. Best of luck with Junior!

As long as Lola is only playing in your own yard with your other dog the risk for parvovirus infection is low. I would still recommend avoiding places like dog parks where you can't be sure of the health status of other dogs.
