How to stop my young Chihuahua barking and sleeping in my bed?

By all means, do not let her get into the habit of sleeping in your bed with you. Once you put her to bed for the night in her bed, not yours (be sure all of her needs have been taken care of), do not do any more for her. No matter how much she cries, whines, etc., ignore the behavior completely. Not even one little "NO!" By all means, do not bring her into your bed or get out of it and stay beside her. You may find that she gets even worse, but that is actually a good thing! It means that she recognizes that there's a new sheriff in town, and she's not going to run things anymore. She will probably make a last-ditch effort to try to get you to do the things you were doing for her. DON'T GIVE IN! It could be that bella has realized if she barks she gets attention from you all. She is barking to get taken outside or even just attention through the night. I would recommend trying to crate train her. This will allow her an area that is safe and only hers. The crate can be a really positive place . You can start off by putting her in it for short intervals and rewarding her going in and coming out. it is important to make the crate a happy place. You could also try just moving her to another room so she is not sleeping with you all.

I would try putting Co co in a crate at night. Keep in mind she's quite young, and it will take time for her to adjust to being in a new home away from her mother and siblings. It's truly like having a newborn baby in the home! But the good news is that puppies will get better at sleeping at night faster than babies. If you are comfortable with it, you can have her sleep with you at night in your bed. That might make her feel more comfortable. I hope you get some sleep!

Relentless barking is typically a sign of anxiety. The anxiety is probably due to one a few different causes. If Pilot is typically used to being with you during the daytime and is forced to be separated at night this maybe a root cause of the anxiety. Another possibility is that Pilot is simply not being provided with an area in which he feels comfortable to rest. If you haven't already, I would recommend crate training him. There are tons of articles and YouTube videos on how to properly do this, the dos and don't of the training, and the size of crate you might need. Once the crate becomes Pilot's "den", it will be a comfortable place for him to stay. I think this is a good place to start. You also have to remain strong in terms of ignoring the barking. I realize it is extremely loud and irritating, but EVENTUALLY Pilot will stop on his own and tire out. If you give in to him, you are only shooting yourself and him in the foot unfortunately. It’s hard to say why she would do this, but wouldn’t it be great if Kiss could just talk?!?! Obviously watch Kiss for any signs of illness or pain: limping, reluctant to walk or play, acting lethargic or any other signs of illness. If she seems abnormal, then I recommend to have her seen by her veterinarian. Behavior wise, Kiss may think the bed is her den and every time she cries and you lift her on the bed, you reward the behavior. Pets learn by positive and negative reinforcements. Every time she has a positive reinforcement, she will continue to exhibit the behavior. It’s hard to say why she would start this behavior. Watch her off the bed and see if there’s anything on the floor or in the house that seems to make her scared. Slippery floors are a very common stresser for pets so be mindful of that.
