How to stop my puppy from crying all night and demanding attention?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Female | unspayed | 2 months and 23 days old | 2.116 lbs

She doesn't let us sleep at night... She wants us to stay beside her bed when she sleeps at night... We tried keeping her bed just beside ours, we tried to let her sleep on our bed... But nothing was effective..one of us has to wake up and stay awake jus beside her bed when she asks for at night..help me...

t.onscYou are the rulemaker in your home, not Dalia. She is doing these things because they work, and she has become spoiled. Once you put her to bed for the night in her bed, not yours (be sure all of her needs have been taken care of), do not do any more for her. No matter how much she cries, whines, etc., ignore the behavior completely. Not even one little "NO!" By all means, do not bring her into your bed or get out of it and stay beside her. You may find that she gets even worse, but that is actually a good thing! It means that she recognizes that there's a new sheriff in town, and she's not going to run things anymore. She will probably make a last-ditch effort to try to get you to do the things you were doing for her. DON'T GIVE IN! Once you are sure that all of her needs for the night have been taken care of, put her in there and walk away. Do not scold her for crying, or try to soothe or comfort her. Don't go back to her. And do not let her out of the crate! She is testing you. Ignore the crying completely. Once she realizes that her behavior is not having the desired effect, she will stop. Thank you for your question. If you go to Aki every time she whines, she will continue to whine. If Aki stops whining for 15 minutes, just let her be. Once she figures out that you are not going to come, she will eventually stop and learn that bedtime is bedtime, and the whining will stop. Don't reward her behavior with attention. My puppy cries all night. How can I stop it without him in my bed?

Move his crate into your room. As he acclimated, you can gradually move it out. You can also try a cover, nightlight, leaving a radio on low and place a heating pad under the crate to provide warmth. Use on with a thermostat and make sure he cannot get to it or urinate on it. A pheromone product, such as the Adaptil collar or DAP plug in diffuser, may decrease any anxiety.

Why does my dog bark in his crate at night for attention? How to stop?

This could definitely be related to the fact that your kids are away. But you must not give in and bring him to bed, as that is a reward for his efforts and will only encourage him to bark longer (He is saying to himself, "Gee, it worked before! Why isn't it working now? Guess I'll have to try harder!) As annoying as ir might be, you need to ignore the barking (I'd suggest starting on a weekend, or whenever you ahve a few days off and do not need your sleep as much). He will escalate, attempting to get you to cave in. DO NOT!!! Eventually he will get the message that this trick will no longer work, and give up. My 8-week-old puppy cries in his crate at night. How can I stop it?

Perhaps (and without being there, I can't tell for sure) Loki keeps crying because he gets your attention. You do not need to stay with him, nor does he need something to keep him occupied at night. He needs to learn that nighttime is for sleeping. Once you are sure that all of his needs have been attended to, put him in his crate and walk away . . . and stay away! Do not go back, yell, try to soothe, etc. Once he realizes that his noise won't get the desired result, he'll stop. However, he may get worse temporarily. This does not mean that the tactic isn't working. On the contrary, it means that what he was doing before no longer gets the desired result, so he's ramping up the behavior in the hopes that more will be better. Stand your ground! He will eventually learn for himself that nothing is going to work, so he may as well go to sleep.

Why does my puppy cry all night? Can crate training help her sleep?

I would try putting Co co in a crate at night. Keep in mind she's quite young, and it will take time for her to adjust to being in a new home away from her mother and siblings. It's truly like having a newborn baby in the home! But the good news is that puppies will get better at sleeping at night faster than babies. If you are comfortable with it, you can have her sleep with you at night in your bed. That might make her feel more comfortable. I hope you get some sleep!

My new puppy cries all night unless picked up. How can I help?

Congratulations on your new puppy. This is all very normal behavior and is generally short-lived. For now, make sure to take the puppy outside anytime she cries or wakes up in the middle of the night. This will generally decrease as she gets older. Give her vigorous play sessions right before bed as this will help her to be more tired. You can play some classical music and give her a teddy bear to snuggle with in her bed. Just make sure to remove any eyes, tags or Anything else that she may chew off and potentially swallow. Your labrador is not likely to allow her to suckle and will likely correct this behavior.
