Why is my Shih Tzu still sick, can't walk, and has red eyes?

Oh my. I do think that Canine Influenza is possible, as well as pneumonia if there is any coughing or nasal discharge. I would highly recommend taking her to your vet immediately, since she is so ill and likely needs medical treatment in order to get better. I’m sorry but it is difficult to tell what’s going on with the foot with just a picture. If the fur is a reddish brown color or skin is red then it could be allergies or an infection. I would try Benadryl twice a day and a cone collar to prevent her from chewing it. See link below. With her being sick, there are several different causes from liver/kidney issues, diabetes, an infection, parasites, pancreatitis, and much more. Since it has been going on for awhile I would have your vet take a look at her. She is at high risk for dehydration because of her size. Your vet will be able to determine the cause, look at her foot and get her started on the proper meds to make her feel better. I hope this helps!

Oh goodness. My initial thoughts are to comb his whole body, including looking in his ears for a tick- as occasionally their saliva can cause tick paralysis. I would also consider getting an MRI if one is available. Encephalitis due to parasites, immune disorders, or cancers are on my list, as is a disorder called Coonhound paralysis. Poor guy. THe picture is a bit dark; however, I do see some redness towards the bottom part of the cornea. This looks like possible hemorrhage and should be checked by your vet as soon as possible. THis could be due to some kind of trauma to the eye or it could be a sign of uveitis (inflammation of the inner prat of the eye). If this is indeed uveitis, then the vet will have to do some tests to determine what the underlying cause is. I hope that your pet Winston has some resolve to his eye condition soon! This could be due to an eye injury or conditions such as a corneal laceration, corneal ulcer, conjunctivitis, dry eye (also known as KCS), among many other conditions. At this point given she has not improved, I would recommend you consider having her evaluated by a veterinary ophthalmologist who can recommend further. Poor Friday! Yes, since his eye is still bleeding despite these medications, he should be examined by a vet. You can take him back for a recheck by his first vet, or seek a second opinion with a different vet. Either is a good option. Also be sure that Friday is not rubbing or scratching his eye by putting an e-collar (cone) on him. I hope hat he feels better soon!
