Should I separate my female dogs during heat or when one gives birth?

Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Female | unspayed | 1 year and 8 months old | 59 lbs

If i have two female dogs i should separate them when one of them is in heat or not? Because they could fight. And when one of them is having a litter and give birth i shkuld seperate them aslo right?

You don't necessarily have to separate them, I'd only do it if you see any signs of aggression between them. If one of them does give birth to a litter, then I would give that dog her own room and her own space, and keep them separated while the puppies are little. I hope this helps!
