My best advice would be not to breed them and to have them neutered. This ia mainly for their own health as neutering prevents many hormone related diseases such as some types of cancer and infections like pyometra. It is also associated with a reduction in hormone related behavioural issues. If you do choose to breed them there would be no way of preventing unwanted matings until they are 24 months unless you completely separate them. This is pretty normal. Protecting her from other possible males - doesn't matter if they are human. Doesn't even matter if they are male or female. This could get ugly fast and can turn to severe aggression. If you are not planning on breeding them I suggest you get them spayed/neutered as to not promote any behavioral issues.

That said, if this is linked to your dog being in heat, keeping the two separated during her heat cycle may help reduce the behavior and prevent a fight from breaking out. Having your female spayed may also help reduce the aggressive behavior if it is related to her heat cycle as she will no longer have them. If the behavior continues to escalate, keeping the two dogs apart and speaking with a trainer in person is best so that they can address the issue and provide a more tailored plan. Picking up and keeping any and all toys, etc removed during this as well as feeding the dogs separately may also help reduce the behavior as well.

If there has been a discharge of fluid then yes, labor may indeed have started. Please keep them completely segregated as the presence of the male is very threatening to her as he may be a danger to her pups.
