Why is my senior dog limping, vomiting, and having accidents?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Goldendoodle | Male | neutered | 13 years and 3 months old | 55 lbs

My 13 yo golden doodle ran up stairs and afterwards his hind leg started slipping out and he had difficulty standing. After awhile he was walking okay but slowly walking. A few hours later he threw up and had an accident over night. He is still limping and spit up this morning. What could be wrong?

I am not sure. It could be an orthopedic issue causing pain and nausea, or it could be an internal issue, or a combination of those. I would recommend that you have Henry examined by a vet. The vet will do a thorough exam, and may recommend diagnostics such as blood work or x-rays.
