How to safely remove ticks from my dog's face, paws, and eyes?

Poor guy. He needs his eyes flushed copiously with eye irrigating solution. You can find this over the counter. It is a potential that he could develop a corneal ulcer due to the chemicals from the spray. Blindness is a potential but it is preventable as long as you monitor this closely. Monitor his eyes for redness, discharge (yellow/green), or irriation (pawing at the face). Have Bruno seen by your vet right away if these complications develop. For future, the fipronil sprays are not the best to use for tick prevention. I would instead recommend the Seresto collar, or oral flea/tick prevention (Nexgard, Bravecto) from your vet. For acute bites, you should use tweezers to remove the tick (must get the head and mouthparts) entirely. I hope that your fur baby Bruno does well moving forward. Take care! : )

Spray the solution on the body of your pet from a distance of 10 - 20 cm against the direction of the hair. Spray till the hair of your pet gets wet. Apply on the complete body of animal & give main attention to the affected areas. Allow your pet to air dry instead of towel dry. Precautions: Avoid spraying into eyes. Do not allow your pet to lick after spraying. Wash the hands after use. Spray in a well-ventilated area. Keep the sprayed pets away from heat & flame until he gets dry. I don't see any mentioned side effects. It can take a few weeks sometimes to see symptoms of a tick borne disease.

I agree that it looks as though Lucas has a tick attached to his eyelid. Ticks tend to like to bite areas with a greater blood supply, particularly the face and ears. If he's cooperative, you can try to use a pair of tweezers to carefully grab the base of the tick and pull straight out in a firm, smooth motion. Be sure that all of the tick's mouth parts are out, as they can be a source of infection if they're left behind. Also take care not to squeeze the body of the tick, as this can cause them to regurgitate during removal, potentially injecting diseased organisms through the bite. However, if he is resistant to your tick removal attempts or if you're still unable to remove it with a pair of tweezers, Lucas should be seen by his vet. Good luck! Ouch! Poor baby! They are in a very sensitive area and he may need to be sedated to have the removed. You could try applying advantix on him which will sometimes make them die and detach by the only concern I have is if it takes a few days tha he could develop damage o the eyes themselves so I think going to the vet to have them removed isna better idea. The best way to get rid of ticks would be to use an oral tick preventive like Nexgard or Simparica. You give him a tablet and the ticks will die. If you use it every month, it will prevent the vast majority of ticks from attaching to Oli. If you cannot get one of these products, wash him in a flea and tick shampoo. Make sure to read the directions carefully as it often requires you to leave the shampoo in contact with the skin for 10 minutes or so. Each product is different and will tell you the appropriate directions. Brushing him will also help. In some parts of the world, ticks can transmit diseases. You should remove all the ticks with tweezers and then apply a flea and tick preventative spot on suitable for young puppies or Frontline spray (which is suitable for puppies). These are available at your veterinarian or in a pet shop.

These are given every 30 days and need to be used for at least 3 months. You must also treat all the pets in the home. The fipronil products are safe to use at home- just follow the instructions on the packaging. The most important treatment is treating Mayor monthly with a product from his vet.
