Is it safe to mix different brands of wet and dry dog food together?

In general, if you're making a change, it's best to gradually start mixing in the new food over the course of at least 2-3 days rather than switching all at once - this helps to avoid GI upset related to a sudden diet change. As long as you do this, it's fine to switch to a different flavor or brand if you want to.

Yes this is fine to do. Slowly replace some of the dry food with wet food, starting with just a teaspoon and working up to however much Duncan needs over 3-5 days. It is not typically not a problem to offer to different brands of food especially if you are using small amounts of canned food to entice her appetite. If you cannot find a large breed puppy formula canned food, then I would use an adult version. Being a giant breed dog, you what her to grow very slowly. As with any diet change, monitor for any vomiting and diarrhea. Problems are usually seen when abruptly switching from one dry brand to another without mixing the food or going from dry kibble to strictly wet food again without a gradual transition. Yes that can work, but I would advise against rotating flavors and brands. That's because sudden changes in food can cause GI upset in the form of vomiting and diarrhea. It's best to stick with one brand and flavor. Dogs do not need their food changed :-)

Yes you can mix dog foods if you like. Just remember that any sudden switches can cause a stomach upset in pets so mixing the foods initially during the first week is recommended. However if you want to do the food mix long term that is perfectly fine. I don't typically recommend putting dog gravy on the food because it is quite fatty and can cause Gohan to become quite obese. Most pets do just fine with just their regular dog kibble and an occasional treat 2 times a week or less. I hope this helps!
