Is it okay to feed my dog different brands of wet and dry food?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 10 months and 16 days old | 51 lbs

Can you feed your dog another brand of wet food than the dry food? Like wholehearted dry food and pedigree puppy wet food.

Yes this is fine to do. Slowly replace some of the dry food with wet food, starting with just a teaspoon and working up to however much Duncan needs over 3-5 days. Make sure you're not increasing Duncan's total calories overall when you make the switch.
