Why is my puppy weak, sleepy, and not drinking after throwing up?

Hello. I am a bit concerned that your veterinarian was not worried that Millie has not eaten anything in 24 hours. This may be stress, but if she does not eat anything by tomorrow, then I would revisit with your vet, & perhaps ask to purchase a critical care food that is administered easily by a syringe. You may need to feed your puppy for a few days to make sure she is getting some calories, & if there is no underlying illness, she should start eating on her own. If possible, please take Bailey to your local emergency service for an appointment tonight. If this is not an option, you should withhold any water or food overnight, offer him very small amount of water in the morning and take him to your regular vets as soon as they open on Saturday morning.

If he keeps it down, you can offer more water and small amount of bland food (cooked chicken or other lean meat) in the next 1-2hrs. If he is taking the food and keeping all down you should give him more every 2-3hrs. However, if Chapo continues to vomit, you should take him to your local vets for an appointment today. Vomiting in otherwise healthy dog is usually caused by stomach upset from gastrointestinal infection, inflamed pancreas, abdominal pain.

Hello. If you are concerned about parvo, blood may not appear in the diarrhea for another day or so. If he continues to have vomiting & diarrhea, Justice will become dehydrated & this will make him very, very weak. Unfortunately, those are quite nonspecific symptoms, and could be consistent with almost any illness. If Prince isn't eating or drinking, and is vomiting, he really needs to be evaluated by a veterinarian. Your vet can determine quite a lot by a good exam, and will then be able to recommend any appropriate diagnostic tests to determine what's wrong. At the very least, your vet can help Prince feel better with supportive care to control his nausea, and give fluids to correct his dehydration. I worry especially with his young age and being such a little guy, he can become dehydrated quickly. I hope he feels better soon!

Poor Mookie sounds like he is feeling poorly! He could have a GI illness, may have eaten something rotten, or could have a foreign body among other things causing his vomiting. Normally I'd recommend a bland diet if a dog is at least drinking water, but because he isn't drinking, he really should see a vet today. The vomiting combined with refusing to drink could easily lead to dehydration, and that should be avoided. I would take Mookie into a vet today to diagnose why he's vomiting so he can be treated as needed. I hope this helps!
