Why is my Border Collie puppy weak, not eating, and throwing up?

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Kona! Sounds like Kona had a eventful weekend! I think the new treats and/or the water could be causes of her upset stomach today! I would fast her: no food or water for 12 hours. If she doesn't vomit fasted then start "sip and nibble" of a bland diet of boiled chicken or hamburger with rice and water in 12 hours. Feed small frequent meals about 1 cup per day. If she continues to vomit or have extreme diarrhea during the fast or starts vomiting when you introduce food then she should be seen by your Vet! I wish you and Kona the best!

Hi there! Sorry to hear that Kagome is not feeling well. The clinical signs you describe are concerning when they occur in a puppy as they can be seen with serious gastrointestinal infections such as Parvovirus. Other possibilities include intestinal worms and dietary indiscretion, among other possibilities. The sooner these conditions are treated the better the outcome tends to be. For this reason, I recommend that you have Kagome evaluated by your veterinarian to check for these possibilities and to start therapy based on findings. At the very least they can address dehydration if present and start her on anti-nausea medications. Good luck! Keeping my fingers crossed for your girl!

Gastrointestinal disorders, obstructions, bacterial, viral, or parasitic infections as well as pancreatitis among others. I would recommend Jake be seen by his veterinarian as soon as possible so he can be appropriately evaluated and treated. Your veterinarian may recommend blood work, x-rays, and other diagnosis tests to help aide in diagnosis for Jake. I hope this helps and I hope you are able to get him seen soon!

Vomiting can be observed with conditions such as gastroenteritis, pancreatitis, dietary indiscretion, gastrointestinal foreign body ingestion and obstruction, among other possibilities. For this reason, I highly recommend that you have her evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment as soon as possible as I am afraid she is likely becoming dehydrated. They would be able to check for these possibilities and also check her hydration status and give her medications to make her feel better. Good luck!

They may need to take an X-ray to look for an obstruction or test him for parvovirus. I am concerned he is vomiting because he can dehydrate quickly. Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! It is possible that Ciroc ate a little too quickly or greedily, causing her to vomit. However, in puppies, vomiting can be caused by parasites and dangerous viral infections. I recommend keeping an eye on Ciroc for continued vomiting, loss of energy/appetite, and diarrhea. If any of these signs occur, she should be seen by a vet ass soon as possible. I hope this helps and that all is well!

Thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach with your question about Amaya. She may have an upset stomach. I can give you a home remedy for her to see if that helps. Feed her a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in her normal diet. If she refuses to eat the bland diet, she vomits the bland diet, develops diarrhea, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, she will need to see a vet right away.
