Is it okay to take away my puppy's water bowl before bedtime?

This is always true for dogs as it is hard to know when exactly they will feel the need of drinking water but it is especially true for puppies as they are a bit harder to predict. Water will prevent dehydration. Have a good evening!

Not necessarily, but a little bit of water should be ideally available through the night. Feed him 3-4 times daily, at good intervals (try to feed him quite late as last meal). Yes, it's fine to take Jack's water away at night but be sure to take him out to potty right before bed and you will probably need to take him out at least once in the middle of the night. First thing in the morning when he wakes up, offer him water. I hope this helps!

Congrats on your new puppy! Take Maximus's water away 2-3 hours before bedtime, and have him go potty right before he goes to sleep. When he is fully house trained when he is older, you can leave water out all night. Best of luck.

As long as she has plenty of access to water before going into the crate, in the middle of the day & in the evening, & the temperature is consistently comfortable, she will be fine. Take care.

I'm going to give you a link with details on how to crate train a puppy, but I do not recommend leaving food and water in his crate overnight. This will make him have to go out to the bathroom more overnight, and since you will have to get up twice to take Cooper to potty every 2.5 to 3 hours, you don't want to have to deal with additional times to take him out or messes to clean up. If he's sleeping fine in the crate, you can start closing the door. Hi and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I think it is fine if the water bowl is not near Sherlock's food bowl. However, I would make sure that the water bowl is readily available to him/he has easy access to it.
