Why is my 4-month-old puppy vomiting yellow foam after a seizure?

He could have an infection or a parasite causing the vomiting and diarrhea. He should be examined by a vet for treatment. Your vet can test a fecal sample to determine if he has a parasite and then prescribe medications to help treat the problem.

There are many reasons why Koko could be vomiting. It can range from parasites to Parvo. It’s impossible to know what the cause is without a detailed history, a physical exam and testing for parasites and viruses. Puppies don’t have the reserves that adults and they do dehydrate and can have problems with low blood sugar which can be fatal if not treated. I recommend to have Koko visit his veterinarian to be examined. Feeding Koko a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken and boiled white plain rice can help to settle the tummy. Vomiting this frequently can be either due to something stuck in the GI tract, or a severe gastritis (inflammation of the GI tract) that can be caused by an infection such a parvo-virus or food poisoning, or just a stomach upset. If Zao hasn't stopped vomiting and isn't eating/drinking well, then I would recommend taking him to the vet. They will likely want to do x-rays to make sure nothing is blocking the GI tract if he is continuing to vomit. Otherwise they can get him medications to make him not throw up. Best of luck with Zao.

It could be caused by her food, especially if you recently changed the diet. It could also be caused by an infection, parasite, obstruction, gastritis/enteritis, pancreatitis, metabolic/endocrine disease, etc. If she is otherwise acting completely normal, you could withhold food for the day and then try a bland diet, like chicken breast and white rice. If the vomiting continues or she becomes lethargic than she needs to be seen by your vet to determine the cause and treat the problem. Your vet can run lab-work and take an x-ray, if needed, to help diagnose and then prescribe medications. She may need an anti-vomiting medication, antacid, and/or an gastrointestinal protectant to help treat.

I'm sorry to hear that Prada is not feeling well. Many things can cause vomiting in young dogs. Intestinal parasites, viral infections such as parvo, a diet sensitivity or eating something she shouldn't have such as a toy are common. If she is acting ill and cannot keep food or water down, she will need to see her veterinarian right away. If she is still acting normal, then continue to give her water, but hold her off of food for 12-18hrs. Resting the GI tract can sometimes resolve these signs. I would be very concerned with Izzy having this many seizures in such a short period of time. Young, small breed dogs can suffer from a condition called a shunt. With this disease the liver is unable to filter out toxins like it normally would. When this happens and the levels of certain enzymes get too high they affect the brain and cause seizures. This happens more frequently after a meal. I would recommend having Izzy checked out by your vet. They will likely run a blood test to check her liver enzymes and a test called bile acids to see how well the liver is working. I'm sorry you are having to deal with this in your young pup! Hopefully you can get a diagnosis and start managing her seizures soon.

El Chapo needs to be seen by a veterinarian ASAP. He could have parvo virus, or an intestinal foreign body blockage, or a gastrointestinal infection caused by parasites or a bacteria. At his age vomiting like this will cause serious dehydration, and an accurate diagnosis will guide treatment.
