Why is my 5-month-old pit bull puppy throwing up foam and gassy?

It could be caused by her food, especially if you recently changed the diet. It could also be caused by an infection, parasite, obstruction, gastritis/enteritis, pancreatitis, metabolic/endocrine disease, etc. If she is otherwise acting completely normal, you could withhold food for the day and then try a bland diet, like chicken breast and white rice. If the vomiting continues or she becomes lethargic than she needs to be seen by your vet to determine the cause and treat the problem. Your vet can run lab-work and take an x-ray, if needed, to help diagnose and then prescribe medications. She may need an anti-vomiting medication, antacid, and/or an gastrointestinal protectant to help treat.

Vomiting this frequently can be either due to something stuck in the GI tract, or a severe gastritis (inflammation of the GI tract) that can be caused by an infection such a parvo-virus or food poisoning, or just a stomach upset. If Zao hasn't stopped vomiting and isn't eating/drinking well, then I would recommend taking him to the vet. They will likely want to do x-rays to make sure nothing is blocking the GI tract if he is continuing to vomit. Otherwise they can get him medications to make him not throw up. Best of luck with Zao.

I'm sorry to hear that Loin isn't feeling well. Vomiting and diarrhea in a young dog can be caused by a variety of conditions, but the most common include parvovirus (unlikely if he has been fully vaccinated), gastroenteritis (stomach upset) from eating different foods, table scraps or treats, intestinal parasites, or another GI virus. Since his diarrhea looks quite liquid with possible blood in it (difficult to tell from the picture), I recommend taking Loin to his vet for evaluation. The vet will be able to run a test for parvovirus, stool sample to check for parasites, and any other indicated testing to get to the bottom of this issue. If Loin is dehydrated, he may need IV fluids. Until you can get to the vet, withhold food for 12-24 hours. After that time, talk to Loin's vet about starting him on a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken and white rice for a few days before gradually transitioning back to his normal dog food over another 5-7 days. I hope that Loin feels better soon!

Abby needs to be examined by the veterinarian today. She is too young to be protected from diseases and certain viruses, including Parvo, can present like this. Other possible causes of vomiting include parasites, eating something she shouldn’t have or getting in to medications...etc. Abby is too young to have the reserves of adult dogs and so she needs intervention earlier. Bring in a sample of stool for testing for Parvo and parasites. Best of luck.

Hello, sorry to hear about Indigo. Ultimately it sounds like she could be very dehydrated and needs to see a veterinarian. She would first need to be tested for parvo, if negative other things could be considered such as low glucose, a foreign body which could be causing an obstruction, or even parasites. He might have eaten something spoiled that is causing this. withhold food for 12 hours then offer Canelo boiled boneless chicken and rice every 6 hours in small portions. if he is eating and not vomiting, continue with this diet for 2 days. After 2 days, you can put him back gradually on his normal food. If he continues vomiting or is not eating, take him to the vet to get treatment.

It sounds as Lulu is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking her to the vet the first chance you get, she will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection she will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better. if the vet thinks it is more serious she will need a blood test and possibly an ultrasound in order to find out what is wrong.
