Why is my 9-week-old puppy tired, not eating, and acting strange?

Poor Olsen! It could be that he is feeling unwell, and I would monitor him for now as lethargy is a very general sign of illness. Make sure he is still eating and drinking normally, and using the bathroom normally. If he continues to be lethargic today, and/or stops eating and drinking and using the bathroom normally, I would have him seen by a vet for a health check.

Also, you can place a small amount of honey or caro syrup on his gums in case he is hypoglycemic. Other potential causes for his illness include intestinal parasites (even if he was already dewormed once, they are still possible), GI blockage, bacterial or viral infection, food intolerance, among a few other possibilities. Any puppy that is lethargic or has vomiting and/or diarrhea should see a vet if the symptoms last more than 24 hours as they can get dehydrated very quickly.

Yes, he should be checked by your veterinarian ASAP. This is not normal behavior for a puppy. He may be sick, anemic, have a low blood sugar or have suffered some kind of injury. Due to his very young age, he could decline quickly and the sooner he is checked, the better.

Rambo could have a number of problems that could cause lethargy - anemia, tick borne diseases or other infections could make him seem sleepier than usual. I would recommend having your vet examine him - they may recommend checking some blood work as well.

She may either be going through a growth spurt, or she may have low glucose. If she isn't eating at least 3/4th of her normal diet, then I would be concerned about possible low glucose or another neurological condition. These symptoms are always concerning in a puppy. If Muffin did not have a complete set of vaccines when he was younger, parvo or distemper is a possibility, even without blood in the stool. Hypoglycemia or liver disease could also cause these symptoms, and could be a concern if your Husky is only 10 pounds at 6 months. I would recommend that he be checked out by a vet ASAP.
