Why is my puppy's face swollen, eyes red, and testicles bumpy?

Hello. Thank you for using PetCoach. He is very handsome! Those bumps look like a local allergic reaction. I suggest you try using this spray a few times a day. Spray the solution on a cotton ball and then wipe it on the affected areas. If there is no improvement in a few days then you should get him to your vet for an exam. Hello. It does sound like Zeus is having some kind of allergic reaction. You have done all you can at home, so if he seems to be getting worse, you will absolutely need to see your veterinarian for further treatment. Hopefully, he will start doing better soon. Thank you for submitting your question regarding Berkley. He may be experiencing an allergic reaction. It could be to something in his diet (even if nothing new has been introduced) or environment. If he experience severe facial swelling or difficulty breathing, then he will need to see an emergency veterinarian today. Otherwise, he should see his regular veterinarian tomorrow to determine if this is the case and if he needs treatment. I hope this information helps!

The pictures are kind of blurry but I can tell there is some redness. The swelling is difficult to appreciate. It does seem like an allergic reaction to something, but what.....I cannot say. Since she is acting otherwise normally you can try to give her some over the counter antihistamine medication - you can use diphenhydramine (Benadryl). I would give her 1/2 of a 25mg caplet by mouth every 12 hours. If this has not resolved by Monday then she should see your vet. https://www.benadryl.ca/products/benadryl-caplets

I do not recommend you give him those pills as they are unlikely to help. There is no way of knowing for sure without an examination though this represents a reason to seek veterinary care. This is usually determined with an examination and a fine needle aspirate (FNA) or a biopsy. Treatment depends on the findings up to that point. I would advise that you go ahead and give a dose of the Benedryl and then get him into the vet as soon as possible- tonight with the ER vet is ideal. This could signal an allergic reaction, or a viral/bacterial infection. But I am most worried about something extremely painful such as a testicular torsion (where the testicle twists on itself, cutting of blood flow and causing swelling). If you can’t get to the vet tonight, ice the testicle for 5-10 minutes every 2-64hours to help with pain and swelling. Place a paper towel or thin cloth between the ice pack and his scrotum. Poor guy. I see this a lot in cases of an insect bite. I would recommend antihistamines to help reduce the swelling. Contact your vet for your pets specific recommended antihistamine of choice and dosage since we are not allowed to recommend specific medications to give your pet without first examining him. The antihistamine should help reduce the swelling of my suspicions are correct. Sometimes the swelling will even go down on its own, especially if it doesn’t seem to spread to any other part of Rocket’s body.
