Dog has a red bump, swollen face, and isn't eating. What's wrong?

Another possibility is that this was noted incidentally after a play date and this is actually something unrelated such as due to dental disease or even a growth underneath those tissues. I recommend you keep an eye on it for now. If it is just swelling from a traumatic injury, it may improve on its own. However, it may not improve on its own and need further therapy. If it is something else, it will probably continue to be present or worsen over time. If it does not improve or it worsens in the next week, I highly recommend that you have him evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Good luck!
